Service Period: September 12, 2025 – October 19, 2025
At Shin-Hotaka Ropeway, we operate a limited-time “Starry Sky Viewing Service” where visitors can enjoy the star-filled night sky from the rooftop observation deck at Nishihotakaguchi Station and the “Itadaki no Mori” (Top Forest). We are pleased to announce the schedule for the 2025 season.
Schedule: Total of 12 days
〇 September 12 (Fri) – 14 (Sun), September 19 (Fri) – 21 (Sun)
- Shirakaba-daira Station: First ascent at 19:00 / Last ascent at 20:20
- Nishihotakaguchi Station: First descent at 19:00 / Last descent at 21:00
〇 October 10 (Fri) – 12 (Sun), October 17 (Fri) – 19 (Sun)
- Shirakaba-daira Station: First ascent at 18:00 / Last ascent at 20:20
- Nishihotakaguchi Station: First descent at 18:00 / Last descent at 21:00
Important Notes
〇 Only the 2nd ropeway will be operating. The 1st ropeway will not be in service.
〇 The starry sky viewing service is not available for mountain climbing purposes. Please be sure to board the last descent from Nishihotakaguchi Station by 16:45.
After 16:45, access to and from our premises will not be permitted, so climbers should exercise caution.
〇 Please check the website for the operation status on the day of your visit.
- If daytime operation is suspended, the starry sky viewing service will be canceled.
- In cases of severe weather, strong winds, poor visibility, or other conditions that make star viewing difficult, the service may be canceled without prior notice (decision made on the day).
