Itadaki no Mori
Transform the diverse charms of Shin-Hotaka’s nature into high-quality, special experiences.
Adjacent to Nishihotakaguchi Station, “Itadaki no Mori” is a nature-based experiential space designed around the concept of “engaging all five senses with the unspoiled nature of the Northern Alps, one of the world’s premier mountain ranges.” Featuring attractions such as the “Yari Corridor,” where visitors can enjoy breathtaking views, and the “Oshirabiso Trail,” enveloped in the tranquility of the forest,
the space harmonizes with the great outdoors to offer visitors a truly special experience.

Yari Corridor
A deck that juts out like a boomerang, offering a close-up view of the Yari and Hotaka mountain ranges.
The mountains of the Northern Alps, viewed from an elevation of 2,000 meters, are breathtakingly beautiful.
Please enjoy the spectacular scenery stretching as far as the eye can see.

Oshirabiso Trail
A walking trail where you can experience nature up close, surrounded by virgin forest.
You can enjoy forest bathing and observing alpine plants while taking in the scent of the trees.

Nishiho Terrace
A deck offering views of the majestic Nishihotaka mountain range.
There’s also a photo spot where you can feel as if you’ve conquered a rocky ridge, allowing you to casually experience the atmosphere of hiking through the Yarigatake and Hotaka mountain ranges.

Forest Counter
A counter deck offering views of the ropeway’s departure and arrival points and the Hakusan area.
You can enjoy the scenery while sipping a drink.

Forest Terrace
Surrounded by virgin forests at an elevation of over 2,000 meters, this relaxing terrace offers a variety of ways to enjoy your time.
Sit on the wooden deck, gaze at the trees, and spend a leisurely, soothing moment.

Forest Table
A table and bench surrounded by lush greenery where you can experience the changing seasons.
You can enjoy nature with all five senses—such as savoring a meal while taking in the scent of the trees and the chirping of birds.

Gondola Stage
A spot where you can take a leisurely break while enjoying the sounds of nature. Events are sometimes held here as well.

Night Time Stargazing Service
For a limited time, we are operating the “Starry Sky Viewing Event” at the Nishihotakaguchi Station rooftop observation deck and Itadaki no Mori (The Peak Forest).
Gazing up at the night sky from the heart of raw nature at an altitude of 2,156 meters—the breathtaking, sparkling stars above are sure to touch your heart and bring you a sense of wonder like never before…

Fares/Charges
2nd ropeway tour Adults: 4,000 yen / Children (elementary school students): 2,150 yen
*A special fare ticket is required in addition to the regular fare to board the stargazing flight.
*The above price includes a special fare ticket (300 yen for round trip).
Important Notes
〇 Only the 2nd ropeway will be operating. The 1st ropeway will not be in service.
〇 The starry sky viewing service is not available for mountain climbing purposes. Please be sure to board the last descent from Nishihotakaguchi Station by 16:45.
After 16:45, access to and from our premises will not be permitted, so climbers should exercise caution.
〇 Please check the website for the operation status on the day of your visit.
If daytime operation is suspended, the starry sky viewing service will be canceled.
In cases of severe weather, strong winds, poor visibility, or other conditions that make star viewing difficult, the service may be canceled without prior notice (decision made on the day).

[Operating Dates & Fares]
The special buses will operate from October 2nd (Fri) to 4th (Sun), October 9th (Fri) to 12th (Mon/Holiday), October 30th (Fri) to November 3rd (Tue/Holiday), and November 6th (Fri) to 8th (Sun), aligning with the Starry Sky Viewing Event dates.
Please note that advance reservations are required. Fares vary by boarding and alighting locations: Fare A (Takayama/Nyukawa) is ¥9,000 for adults and ¥7,000 for children. Fare B (Hirayu Onsen to Nakao Yakedake Trailhead) is ¥8,000 for adults and ¥6,000 for children. If either your boarding or alighting location is Takayama or Nyukawa, Fare A will apply (for example, boarding at Hirayu and alighting at Takayama).
The tour fare includes a bus attendant, round-trip bus fare, Shinhotaka Ropeway Line 2 round-trip ticket, and a commemorative tour gift.
[Notice for Participants]
Operation Decision: Made at 8:00 AM on the tour day. (The Ropeway may still run even if the bus tour is canceled.)
Attendant: A bus attendant will accompany you.
Stay Warm: The weather can get very cold due to the high altitude. Please bring warm clothing.
Bring a Flashlight: Highly recommended, as the observation deck area is dark.
No Refunds: No refunds will be given if stars cannot be seen due to poor weather.
Same-Day Booking: Reservations are required, but same-day participation is welcome if seats are available.
Round-Trip Only: One-way travel is not allowed.

Layered Stamp Rally

When you collect all five stamps—located at “Nishihotakaguchi Station” on the Second Ropeway—and place them on the special card, a breathtaking view of the Northern Alps will emerge.✨
The special card is designed as a postcard, so you can take it home as a souvenir, or you can mail it to your loved ones from the “Yamabiko Postbox” located on the rooftop observation deck at Nishihotakaguchi Station.

Let’s dive into the unexplored world of silver! Nabedaira Plateau Snowshoe Half-Day Tour
<Why not put on snowshoes and take a walk through the winter forest?>
The sound of my own footsteps and breathing on the snow in the silence.
You can experience the spectacular scenery and playing in the snow on this magical snowy mountain.
It will also be possible to take a walk in the forest, which is normally not accessible.
You may be able to see the footprints of many animals in the great nature of Shinhotaka.
It is also recommended for those who are not confident in their physical strength or those who lack exercise on a daily basis.
