A 2.3km long nature trail located in the Nabedaira Plateau. We recommend taking a relaxing stroll through the forest to refresh yourself.

Depart from Shirakabadai Station
Climb the road between Shirakabadaira Station and Nabehira Kogen Station.

Nature trail entrance
After climbing for a while, you will see the entrance to the nature trail on your left.

Beware of bears
The area near the nature trails is a bear habitat, so please be sure to ring the bells provided.

Yarigatake
As soon as you enter the nature trail, you will see Mount Yari on your right. Its beautiful, sharp peak has earned it the nickname "Japan's Matterhorn."

Walk down the nature trail.

After a while, you will arrive directly underneath the No. 1 Ropeway, so wave as the gondola passes by! From here, you can get a beautiful view of Mt. Kasagatake.

Along the way, there is a shortcut to Shirakabadaira Station (former visitor center).

Yakedake
If you go further, the nature trail turns right, from where you can see Mount Yakedake, an active volcano.
