The Shinhotaka Ropeway consists of the No. 1 Ropeway and No. 2 Ropeway, which connect to take you to Nishi-Hotaka-guchi Station. From Shinhotaka Onsen Station, take the No. 1 Ropeway to Nabedaira Kogen Station, then transfer to Shirakabadaira Station and board the No. 2 Ropeway.

To use the time-specific boarding service, each person must purchase a separate time-specific ticket for 300 yen in addition to the regular boarding ticket.
A baggage ticket is required for items weighing more than 6 kg. However, certain equipment, such as skis, snowboards, and ice axes without covered tips, is not permitted on board.
For uphill trips, tickets are valid only on the day of issue. For downhill trips, tickets are valid for three days, including the date of issue.
Student groups: Groups of 20 or more who pay together and are elementary, junior high, high school, or university students traveling together for educational purposes (school trips, etc.).
Groups of 19 or less will be charged the regular fare.

Changes: Changes are possible up to 1 week before the date of boarding if there are vacancies on the desired date and time.

Please purchase your ticket at the automatic ticket vending machines at Shinhotaka Onsen Station or Shirakaba-daira Station. Tickets are also available online.
*1 Each set includes three 500-yen tickets for adults and two for children. (No change will be given.) Food and shopping tickets can be used at all stores within the Shinhotaka Ropeway and for day-use bathing at Hotel Hotaka.

Date & Time-Specified Boarding Service
This service allows you to reserve a specific date and time for your uphill ropeway ride and enjoy priority boarding at the ticket gate (Fare: 300 yen per person, separate regular ropeway ticket required). Tickets are available online up to 30 days before your boarding date and at each station on the day of boarding. You can change your reserved time once on the day of boarding. Available boarding sections may vary depending on the season.
Those who present a valid Disability Handbook (Physical Disability Handbook, Rehabilitation Handbook, Welfare Handbook, or Mental Health and Welfare Handbook) or Mirairo ID at the ticket window are eligible for a 50% discount for themselves.
Caregivers may receive a 50% discount for one person only if they present a Physical Disability Handbook, Rehabilitation Handbook, or Welfare Handbook (Type 1) or a Mental Health and Welfare Handbook (Grade 1) and settle the fare together with the holder while accompanying them.
